Vintage Set of 8 Clear Glass Canning Bottles with Bail and Lid Wooden Crate Bottle Collection Vase Centerpiece Spice Rack Wheaton 1877 1776

Here is a great set of 8 glass bottles in a wooden crate that has been stained a dark brown color and has a black cup style handle on each side.

Each bottle measures 5.5" tall and 2.5" in diameter. They each have glass lids and metal wire bails. The crate is 11.5" long, 6" wide, and 4" high. The 8 bottles fit well in the crate but they are snug in there and some finalging is needed to make them all fit just right depending on how the bottles and bails line up. The bottles are all the same size and shape but do have different makers marks - some are marked WHEATON, and some are marked 1877 and 1776. The bottles so not have the rubber seals between the bottles and the lids, therefore the lids are loose on the bottles and not all of the bails sit tight on the lid - some are loose. To seal the bottles, the rubber ring would need to be added then the bails would ltch more tightly.

All of the bottles are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The wooden rack is rustic and there are some small nicks here and there. Great set of storing spices, snacks, or candy, or pull off the lids and use as vases or a centerpiece!
