This vintage baseball glove by Kent Sporting Goods is a Model 2169 catchers mitt. The glove is a brown leather, and has a leather cord binding throughout the glove.
Kent was a manufacture and distributor of discount store sporting goods from the late 1960's to the 1980's. Established in 1959, the Kent Sporting Goods Company, inc. was originally based in Batesville, Mississippi and founded as a subsidiary of the Eagle Rubber Company, a manufacturer of football gear, helmets and uniforms. In 1959 the company moved to New London, Ohio. Products included; life vests, lawn games and accessories, Tether ball sets, basketballs, back boards, Golf bags, football equipment, baseballs, softballs, and baseball gloves.
The catchers mitt is in nice condition but does have some slight white ink residue on the outside of the glove in one area.
